Broad Reach Hospice Receives National Patient Satisfaction Award
North Chatham, MA (November 2017)-Broad Reach Hospice was honored with a Patient Satisfaction Award of Distinction by Fazzi Associates, a Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)-approved administrator of the Hospice CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) Survey.
The award is presented to hospice organizations in the top 25 percent of Fazzi’s National Patient Satisfaction Database, based on a comparative analysis. Hospice organizations from around the U.S. included on this prestigious list are considered leaders in their field, according to Fazzi.
The Hospice CAHPS survey asks patients to rate their experiences and is designed to measure and assess the experiences of people receiving hospice care, with three goals in mind:
- Produce comparable data on patient satisfaction
- Create incentives for organizations to improve their quality of care through public reporting of survey results
- Hold health care organizations accountable by informing the public about their providers’ quality of care
Fazzi’s National Patient Satisfaction service is the only national benchmarking service that incorporates findings from research and consulting divisions in helping to guide home health agencies and hospice organizations in best practice strategies for improving patient satisfaction.
